論「從彼後時至名有記生」，釋有記生也。一因是有記、果是無記，是異義。從彼後時異熟方起，非俱、無間，表變異及熟義也。

On the Śāstra's statement, "Arising at a subsequent time from that… is called 'born from the determinable'": This explains "born from the determinable". First, the cause is determinable and the result is indeterminate, which is the meaning of "different" (vi-). Retribution only arises at a subsequent time from that [cause], not simultaneously or contiguously, which expresses the meaning of transformation and ripening (pāka).
