論「有餘師說至色非四因」，第三釋也。此師意：以四蘊力勝能與五蘊為因，色蘊勢力劣故不為四因。

On the Śāstra's statement: "Other masters say... matter is not the cause of the four": this is the third explanation. This master's intention is: because the efficacy of the four aggregates is superior, they can serve as causes for the five aggregates; the power of the aggregate of matter is inferior, and therefore does not act as a cause of the four.
