論「由起惑退至故名得六」,學及無色染心唯由惑退,無色更無上界生故,於欲染心正現前位得此六心。疑續善位得欲界善,《婆沙》二說:一說唯得生得;二說加行,若串習者亦得。無評文也。
The treatise says: "Due to falling away through the arousal of afflictions... therefore it is said that six are acquired." The mind of a trainee and the defiled mind of the formless realm are acquired only through falling away due to afflictions, because for the formless realm there is no further rebirth from an upper realm; these six minds are acquired at the moment when a desire-realm defiled mind is directly present. Regarding the acquisition of the desire-realm good mind when reconnecting the roots of good through doubt, the Vibhāṣā has two explanations: one explanation says one acquires only innate good; the second says one also acquires cultivated good if it is practiced through familiarity. There is no critical evaluation [selecting between them] in the text.
