論「此中性者是緣種類」，釋上性也。界性之名是種類別義，如十八界等。即顯四種類別立四緣也。《正理》釋云「此中緣性即是四緣，如四所居即所居性，為顯種類故說性言。意辨諸緣隨事差別有無量體，然括其義，無非攝入四種類中，謂一切緣無過此性。」

On the Śāstra's: "Herein, 'nature' refers to the types of conditions": this explains "nature" above. The designation "dhātu-nature" carries the meaning of distinctions among types, like the eighteen dhātus, etc. That is, showing that the four conditions are established on the basis of four distinct types. The Nyāyānusāra explains: "Herein, 'condition-nature' refers precisely to the four conditions, just as 'four abodes' refers precisely to the nature of abodes; the word 'nature' is used to show types. The intention is to distinguish that although the conditions have immeasurable individual entities according to their particular functions, when summarizing their meaning, none are not subsumed within these four types; that is, all conditions do not exceed this nature."
