論「或近天中間至是名中般」，第三師異釋。此師意謂，初生色界未至法會中間涅槃，故名中般。已上兩師釋五不還經中般也。《婆沙》六十九云「是分別論者」。

On the passage in the śāstra from "Or midway close to heaven" to "this is called entering nirvāṇa in the intermediate state": This is a different explanation by the third master. This master means that when first born into the form realm and before reaching the assembly of the Dharma, entering nirvāṇa midway is called "entering nirvāṇa in the intermediate state." The above two masters explain the phrase "entering nirvāṇa in the intermediate state" in the sūtra on the five non-returners. Fascicle 69 of the Vibhāṣā says: "These are the Vibhajyavādins."
