8.85

「論曰至第一識住」，略說識住。欲界人、天，色三靜慮，無色三天，此七生處是識住體。今依經釋，故分為七。此上論文即是引經指處。

"The treatise says... the first station of consciousness": this briefly explains the stations of consciousness. The humans and gods of the desire realm, the three dhyānas of the form realm, and the three heavens of the formless realm: these seven birthplaces are the essence of the stations of consciousness. Now, following the sūtra's explanation, they are divided into seven. The text of the treatise above is citing the sūtra and pointing out the places.
