論「生起俱是至可應正理」，論主答理不可然所以也。於中有數重破，此是第一重也。為與無為相不同故，不可無為與有為相。

On the Śāstra's statement: 'Arising and originating are both, up to: could be logically correct': the author of the Śāstra answers why the principle cannot be so. There are several layers of refutation in this; this is the first layer. Because the characteristics of the conditioned and unconditioned are different, the unconditioned cannot serve as the characteristic of the conditioned.
