9.5

論「若爾於一至燒母胎」，難也。若言中有如本有形，地獄中有還如地獄，猛火應隨，中有起時應燒母胎。

[On the] Śāstra's [words], "If so, in one... burn the mother's womb": this is an objection. If one says that intermediate existence is like the shape of prime existence (pūrvakālabhava), then the intermediate existence of hell should also be like hell; raging fire should accompany it, and when the intermediate existence arises, it should burn the mother's womb.
