The Treatise states: "All minds and mental factors [...] can only be apprehended by awakening wisdom (buddhi)." This highlights that the dharmas of mind and mental factors are subtle and difficult to know. In the Sarvāstivāda school, ten dharmas are omnipresent (sarvatraga), whereas in the Mahāyāna only five are omnipresent. The Nyāyānusāra states: "That Sthavira says: There are only three kinds, namely sensation (vedanā), ideation (saṃjñā), and volition (cetanā). Thus only three are called omnipresent. There are also those who do not posit mental factors, stating that the distinctions of mind alone are termed sensation and so forth." This should be recorded.
