釋曰：初兩句頌約文定量，第三句約義定量，第四句約行定量。論云「有諸師言：八萬法蘊一一量等，《法蘊足論》謂彼一一有六千頌，如對法中《法蘊足論》說。」或隨蘊等言者，是第二師，約所詮義以為其量。

Commentary: The first two lines of the verse determine the measure according to the text; the third line determines the measure according to the meaning; the fourth line determines the measure according to practice. The śāstra states: "Certain masters say: 'Each of the eighty thousand dharma-skandhas is equal in measure to the Dharmaskandha-śāstra, meaning each has six thousand verses, as stated in the Dharmaskandha of the Abhidharma.'" 'Or according to the words on the skandhas and so forth' is the second master's [view], which takes the meaning expressed as their measure.
