"Conditioning factors other than the path" clarifies the substance of the tainted. "Other than the path" means excluding the truth of the path. There are four kinds of truths: suffering, origin, cessation, and path. The three of suffering, origin, and path are conditioned phenomena (saṃskṛtadharmāḥ). Although the path is conditioned, it is an untainted phenomenon. Here, tainted phenomena are being clarified, so the path is excluded. "Conditioning factors other than [the path]" refers to the truths of suffering and origin; because they are outside the truth of the path, they are called "other"; thus, the other conditioned factors are simply the truths of suffering and origin.
