從此大文第二，略攝喻顯，論云：「此諸緣起略立為三，謂煩惱、業、異熟果事也，應寄外喻顯別功能。」頌曰：

From here, the second major section presents a brief summary through similes. The Śāstra states: "These factors of dependent origination are briefly established as three: defilements (kleśa), actions (karma), and things that are maturation fruits (vipākaphala-vastu). External similes should be invoked to demonstrate their distinct functions." The verse says:
