11.72

「北洲定千年，西東半半減。
此洲壽不定，後十初叵量。
人間五十年，下天一晝夜，
乘斯壽五百，上五倍倍增。
色無晝夜殊，劫數等身量。
無色初二萬，後後二二增。
少光上下天，大全半為劫。」

"In the northern continent it is fixed at a thousand years, in the west and east each halved in turn. / In this continent life is not fixed, at the end ten, at the start immeasurable. / Fifty years among humans is one day and night of the lowest heaven; / multiplying by this, their life is five hundred [years], and the upper five double each in turn. / In the form [realm] there is no distinction of day and night; the number of kalpas equals their body size. / In the formless, the first is twenty thousand, each subsequent increasing by twenty thousand each. / Above and below Parīttābha, a great [kalpa] and a half are a kalpa."
