且初明三極少者，論云：「如是已約踰繕那等辨器世間身量差別，約年等辨壽量有殊，二量不同，未說今說，此二建立無不依名，前二及名未詳極少。今應先辨三極少量。」頌曰：
First, explaining the three minimal extremes: the treatise says: "Having thus differentiated the bodily measures of the receptacle world in terms of yojanas and so forth, and distinguished the differences in lifespan in terms of years and so forth, these two different measures have not yet been fully explained and will now be explained; the establishment of these two invariably relies on names, yet the minimal extremes of the former two and of names have not yet been examined in detail. Now we should first differentiate the measures of the three minimal extremes." The verse says:
