且初明佛獨覺者，論云：「如是已辨劫量差別，諸佛獨覺出現世間，為劫增時？為劫減時？」頌曰：
First, to clarify Buddhas and pratyekabuddhas: the treatise says: "Having distinguished the divisions of the measures of kalpas in this way, do Buddhas and pratyekabuddhas appear in the world during the period of kalpa increase or during the period of kalpa decrease?" The verse says:
