12.29

「輪王八萬上，金銀銅鐵輪，
一二三四洲，逆次獨如佛。
他迎自往伏，諍陣勝無害。
相不正明圓，故與佛非等。」

"A wheel-turning king [appears] from eighty thousand upward,
With wheels of gold, silver, copper, and iron,
[Ruling over] one, two, three, and four continents
In reverse order; solitary, like a Buddha.
Welcomed by others, going oneself to subdue, [or]
Displaying battle lines and winning without harm.
Their marks are not correct, brilliant, or round;
Therefore, they are not equal to a Buddha."
