13.82

如次第應知，名轉名隨轉者，因等起心說名為轉，謂能轉業。轉之言起，將作業時能引發故。剎那等起名為隨轉，謂隨業轉，正作業時不相離故。

"Known in sequence as prime motivator and conformative motivator": the causally motivating mind is called the prime motivator, meaning it is capable of initiating karma. "Initiation" (zhuan) means setting into action, because when about to perform karma, it can induce it. The momentarily motivating [mind] is called the conformative motivator, meaning it conforms to the operation of the karma, because at the time of actually performing the karma, it is not dissociated from it.
