13.81

因及彼剎那者，列名也。一因等起、二剎那等起。發業前心，名因等起，在先為因故。與業俱心，名剎那等起，同一剎那時故。

"Causal and of the moment" lists their names: first, causal motivation; second, momentary motivation. The mind prior to the initiation of karma is called the causal motivation, because it serves as the cause beforehand. The mind simultaneous with the karma is called the momentary motivation, because it occurs in the very same moment.
