意諸念為體者，出隨念分別體。若定若散，意識相應諸念，名為隨念分別（念通定、散，故名為諸）。

"And the various memories of the mind" identifies the essential nature of recollective conceptualization. Whether in absorption or in distraction, the various memories associated with the mind-consciousness are called recollective conceptualization (memory encompasses both absorption and distraction, which is why it is called "various").
