從此第四，六識依世攝者，論云：「如前所說，識有六種，謂眼識界乃至意識界。為如五識唯緣現在，意識通緣三世非世。如是諸識依亦爾耶？不爾云何？」頌曰：
From here [begins] the fourth, the temporal classification of the supports of the six consciousnesses. The treatise says: "As stated previously, consciousness is of six kinds, namely the eye-consciousness dhātu up to the mental consciousness dhātu. Just as the five consciousnesses take only the present as their object, whereas the mental consciousness takes the three times and the non-temporal as its object, is the support (āśraya) of these consciousnesses also like this? If not, how is it?" The verse states:
