釋曰：後依唯過去者，後是第六識，於六識中最居後故。此第六識唯依過去無間滅意。
The commentary says: 'The support of the latter is only past' means: 'the latter' is the sixth consciousness, because it is the very last among the six consciousnesses. This sixth consciousness relies only on the past, immediately ceased mind.
