或成一至五者，於見道位，至第六集法智及集類忍唯成一遍知，至第八集類智及滅法忍成二遍知，至第十滅法智及滅類忍成三遍知，至第十二滅類智及道法忍成四遍知，至第十四道法智及第十五道類忍成五遍知，故言一至五也。

"Or one possesses from one to five": in the stage of the path of seeing, at the sixth, dharma knowledge of origination, and subsequent receptivity to origination, one possesses only one comprehensive knowledge; at the eighth, subsequent knowledge of origination, and dharma receptivity to cessation, one possesses two comprehensive knowledges; at the tenth, dharma knowledge of cessation, and subsequent receptivity to cessation, one possesses three comprehensive knowledges; at the twelfth, subsequent knowledge of cessation, and dharma receptivity to the path, one possesses four comprehensive knowledges; at the fourteenth, dharma knowledge of the path, and the fifteenth, subsequent receptivity to the path, one possesses five comprehensive knowledges. Hence it is said: "from one to five."
