21.48

釋曰：見所斷惑及修所斷慢眠，并自在隨煩惱，即前嫉等五纏及六垢是也。此見斷等唯意地起，依五識身無容起故。

Explanation: Defilements abandoned by seeing, as well as conceit and sleep abandoned by cultivation, together with the independent secondary defilements—namely the aforementioned five entanglements such as envy and the six stains—these, abandoned by seeing and so forth, arise solely in the mental sphere, because there is no possibility of their arising based on the five consciousness-bodies.
