"For two, one each, combining into three": "two" refers to establishing one comprehensive knowledge each for the two truths of cessation and the path in the desire realm. The phrase "combining into three" means that the four truths of the desire realm combine to form three comprehensive knowledges: first, the comprehensive knowledge of abandonment through seeing suffering and origin; second, the comprehensive knowledge of abandonment through seeing cessation; third, the comprehensive knowledge of abandonment through seeing the path.
