從此第四，明三乘轉根，論云：「此四善根各有三品，由聲聞等（等獨覺與佛也）種姓別故，隨何種姓善根已生，彼可移轉向餘乘不？」頌曰：

Hereafter is the fourth section, explaining the transference of the faculties across the three vehicles. The treatise states: "Each of these four roots of goodness has three grades, because of differences in the lineages of the śrāvakas and so forth (and so forth includes pratyekabuddhas and buddhas). Once a root of goodness has already arisen according to whichever lineage, can that person be transferred toward another vehicle or not?" The verse says:
