24.52

釋曰：諸有學聖以有漏、無漏二道離於八地，修斷染時，各能引生二離繫得，謂有漏道斷八地修，能引有漏、無漏二離繫得；若無漏道斷八地染，亦能具引有漏、無漏二離繫得。由二種道同所作故，各引二得。此之二道同斷修染，名同所作。

The explanation says: When noble śaikṣas become detached from the defilements to be abandoned by cultivation of the eight planes by means of the two paths, contaminated and uncontaminated, each path can induce two acquisitions of disjunction. That is, the contaminated path, in abandoning the defilements of cultivation of the eight planes, can induce both contaminated and uncontaminated acquisitions of disjunction; if the uncontaminated path abandons the defilements of the eight planes, it can also fully induce both contaminated and uncontaminated acquisitions of disjunction. Because the two kinds of paths have the same task, each induces both acquisitions. That these two paths equally abandon the defilements of cultivation is called having the same task.
