「論曰至同所作故」，明有學二道俱引二得。「由二種道同所作故」者，是修二道因也。同所作者，是同治也。廣如下〈智品〉釋。

On the statement: "The Śāstra says: up to because they perform the same function": This clarifies that both paths of a learner induce both possessions. "Because the two kinds of path perform the same function" is the cause for cultivating both paths. "Performing the same function" means providing the same remedy. This is explained extensively below in the chapter on knowledge (Jñānanirdeśa).
