問：「前之二果未離欲故，非依上得，理亦可然。如超越第三先離欲染，云何不許依上得耶？」答：「頌言『由上無見道』，謂超越證第三果人必入見道，色、無色身無見道故，故無上界超越證不還果也。」

Question: "Since [those of] the first two fruits have not yet departed from desire, they are not obtained based on the higher [realms]; this is logically acceptable. But as for one who leaps over to the third fruit, having already departed from the defilement of desire, why is it not allowed that it be obtained based on the higher [realms]?"
Answer: "The verse says, 'Because above there is no path of seeing'. This means that a person who leaps over to realize the third fruit must enter the path of seeing, and because the forms of the form and formless [realms] lack the path of seeing, there is no leaping over to realize the fruit of a non-returner in the higher realms."
