從此第六，明退果相，論云：「諸阿羅漢既許退果，為更生不？諸住果時所不作事，退時作不（問也）？不爾（答也）。何緣（徵也）？」頌曰：
Sixth from here, explaining the characteristics of falling away from fruit, the treatise says: "Since arhats are allowed to fall away from fruit, do they undergo further rebirth? Do they, upon falling away, perform actions that they did not perform while abiding in the fruit? (question) They do not. (answer) For what reason? (inquiry)" The verse says:
