釋曰：無諍世俗智者，煩惱名諍，謂阿羅漢觀有情苦由煩惱生，恐他煩惱復緣己生，故思引發如是相續。此智生時，令他有情不緣己身生貪、瞋等，息煩惱諍，得無諍名。此行但以俗智為體。

Explanation: 'Non-conflict is conventional cognition': afflictions are called 'conflict'. That is, an arhat contemplates that the suffering of sentient beings arises from afflictions, and fearing that another's afflictions might arise again in reference to himself, he therefore resolves to generate such a continuum [of mind]. When this cognition arises, it causes other sentient beings not to give rise to greed, hatred, and so forth in reference to his own person, thereby calming the conflict of afflictions; thus it obtains the name 'non-conflict'. This practice takes only conventional cognition as its nature.
