'Based on the last dhyāna, of the immovable [type]': this practice of non-conflict is generated relying on the fourth dhyāna, because this is the most supreme among the practices of pleasant progress. As for 'immovable': among the six [classes of] those beyond training, only those of the immovable nature possess the cognition of non-conflict. The other five, such as those liable to fall away, cannot even protect themselves, how much less could they calm the conflict of others' afflictions? Therefore, it belongs only to the immovable.
