5.57

得相通三類者，得謂能得，相謂四相。此得及相唯通三類：一有剎那、二等流性、三異熟性。苦法忍上得及四相是有剎那，餘二可知。

'Acquisition and characteristics extend to three classes': 'acquisition' means that which acquires; 'characteristics' means the four characteristics [of conditioned phenomena]. These acquisitions and characteristics extend to only three classes: first, momentary; second, the nature of outflow; third, the nature of ripening. Acquisition and the four characteristics occurring upon the patient acceptance of the dharma of suffering (duḥkhedharmajñānakṣānti) are momentary; the other two are readily understood.
