因緣五因性者，出因緣體。於六因中，除能作因，所餘五因是因緣性。

'The causal condition is the nature of five causes' identifies the substance of the causal condition. Among the six causes, excluding the efficient cause (kāraṇahetu), the remaining five causes constitute the nature of the causal condition.
