就初明有情生中，復分九種：一明三界、二明五趣、三明七識住、四明九有情居、五明四識住、六明四生、七明中有、八明緣起、九明四有。

Regarding the first, clarifying the arising of sentient beings, it is further divided into nine kinds: first, clarifying the three realms; second, clarifying the five destinies; third, clarifying the seven stations of consciousness; fourth, clarifying the nine abodes of sentient beings; fifth, clarifying the four stations of consciousness; sixth, clarifying the four modes of birth; seventh, clarifying intermediate existence; eighth, clarifying dependent origination; ninth, clarifying the four modes of existence.
