Regarding "repudiating causes and fruits entirely," this clarifies the characteristics of wrong view. Wrong view repudiating causes [denies] good and evil conduct. Wrong view repudiating fruits [denies] good and evil results. "Entirely" means that all wrong views are able to sever the roots of good—whether taking their own realm as object or another realm as object, whether taking the contaminated as object or the uncontaminated as object, such wrong views are all able to sever the roots of good. Other masters say: "Only those taking their own realm as object and taking the contaminated as object can sever the roots of good; the rest cannot sever them." It is said to counter their view that it says "entirely."
