Commentary: The first two lines distinguish the entities, and the third line concludes. What are called “mental factors” are the forty-six mental factors. What are called “the two moral disciplines” are the two kinds of discipline, namely, the meditative (dhyāna) and the undefiled (anāsrava) moral disciplines. These two moral disciplines exist when entering concentration and do not exist when emerging from concentration; hence they are named concomitant with the mind.
