「予翫之味之」下，第七作者自謙。「不能釋手」者，謂手不釋卷也。「并目品義題之於首」者，謂釋二十七品目也。予昔在江南尋之不得，至京訪問又無，當是失落也。

From "I studied and savored it" onward is seventh, the author's self-deprecation. "Unable to set it down" means not releasing the scroll from one's hands. "And cataloged the titles and meanings of the chapters at the beginning": this refers to explaining the titles of the twenty-seven chapters. In the past, when I was south of the Yangtze River, I sought it without finding it, and upon arriving in the capital to inquire, it was also absent; it must have been lost.
