唯識云：增上緣依、無間緣依、因緣依，彼以四緣名顯故。又云：「俱有依、開導依、種子依」，大勢同此。成唯識第四中以親疎為次第，此中以顯隱為次第，前後不同也。

The Consciousness-Only [treatise] says: the basis as sovereign condition, the basis as immediately contiguous condition, and the basis as cause-condition; that [text] reveals them by the names of the four conditions. It also says: "simultaneously existing basis, opening and guiding basis, seed basis"; the general tenor is the same as this. In fascicle four of the Cheng weishi lun, it uses close and distant as the order; here it uses manifest and hidden as the order; thus earlier and later differ.
