今此論及對法所列聲中，皆無響聲，唯顯揚說：彼云或依託崖谷所發響聲。此中據法師云：因受等三是有體聲，餘竝假有，是差別故。

Now, among the sounds listed in this treatise and the Abhidharmasamuccaya, echo is entirely absent; only the Prakaraṇāryavācā mentions it, saying: 'Or an echo produced depending upon a cliff or valley.' Here, according to Master Xuanzang: The three sounds, such as those caused by appropriation, are substantially existent sounds; the rest are all conventionally existent, being distinctions.
