又染淨位中，三性意識為同類，因引等流位中諸識。此中基師判第六識通有此七，第七、八識除發業招，異熟有餘五分。景師云：初一後三通五識業非是不共，中間四業唯意識能。

Furthermore, in the states of defilement and purity, the mental consciousness of the three natures acts as a cause of the same class to induce all consciousnesses in the state of outflowing continuity. Here Master Ji determines that the sixth consciousness universally possesses all seven, while the seventh and eighth consciousnesses possess the remaining five parts, excluding initiating actions and inviting ripening. Master Jing says: The first one and the last three are shared operations of the five consciousnesses and are not unshared, whereas the middle four operations are solely capable of being performed by the mental consciousness.
