景師解云：初聞他說，有因果時，爾時耳識及同時意識是率爾心。因生猶豫者，是尋求心，是無記故非疑煩惱。證決定者，是決定心，亦是無記非善正見。還續善根者，是染淨位。

Master Jing explains: When first hearing others say that there is cause and effect, at that time the ear consciousness and simultaneous mental consciousness are the spontaneous mind. "Giving rise to hesitation due to it" is the seeking mind; being indeterminate, it is not the defilement of doubt. "Realizing certainty" is the determining mind; it is also indeterminate, not wholesome right view. "Reconnecting the roots of goodness" is the state of defilement and purity.
