基作兩解：初解同景，加復說言：若自利根，率爾思惟，因生猶豫，證決定故。續善根者，名因力續。若雖利根，後逢善友，聽聞正法，因生猶豫，證決定故，而續善根，名緣力續。第二解者，同薩婆多無偏取捨。

Ji offers two interpretations: The first interpretation agrees with Jing, and further states: If one is of sharp faculties oneself, spontaneously reflecting, causing hesitation to arise, because of realizing determination, the resumption of roots of goodness is called resumption through the power of the cause. If, although of sharp faculties, one later meets a good friend and hears the true Dharma, causing hesitation to arise, because of realizing determination, and resumes the roots of goodness, it is called resumption through the power of conditions. The second interpretation agrees with the Sarvāstivādins without biased acceptance or rejection.
