In the first passage, 'due to the exhaustion of the lifespan, death is incurred' generally explains the meaning of death: regardless of timely or untimely death, it is simply the relinquishment of life called the exhaustion of the lifespan. Among the six, Master Ji explains: The first three deaths pertain to unmanifest consciousness, which is actual death upon departing the body. The latter three deaths pertain to clear mental consciousness, when one is about to die before departing the body.
