From here on, death and birth are clarified. The main text is divided into two: first, clarifying death and birth of the internal elements; later, clarifying the formation and destruction of the external elements. In the former, first death and birth are clarified; later, from the second fascicle, 'In this way, gradually, all sentient beings...' onward, it clarifies contemplating emptiness and thereby attaining the exhaustion of taints. In the former, first death is clarified, and later birth is clarified. In the text on death, there are three parts: first, a general listing of the six kinds of death; second, sequential, separate explanations; third, from 'furthermore, performing wholesome and unwholesome...' onward, various explanations according to the meaning.
