第五、解支節中，除天那落迦者，天唯善業果，地獄恒解支節，更須何須說？輕謂作善業者，凡解支節是惡業感，然作善者惡業輕微，故解節亦輕。

Fifth, regarding the breaking of the joints, 'excepting heavenly beings and hell-beings': heavenly beings are purely the fruit of wholesome karma; in hell, the joints are constantly broken, so what need is there to mention it? 'Mild' refers to those who perform wholesome karma: generally, the breaking of the joints is retribution for evil karma, yet for those who perform wholesome deeds, the evil karma is slight, so the breaking of joints is also mild.
