言謂有如是時乃至八萬歲者，贍部洲人從初壽命無量減至八萬。雖云壽命無量不過半劫。以婆沙云：欲界善業無有能得一劫壽者，若無間地獄及持地龍王不善業果有經一劫。

Regarding the statement, 'meaning there is such a time... down to eighty thousand years': the humans of Jambudvīpa decrease from an initially immeasurable lifespan down to eighty thousand years. Although it is said that the lifespan is immeasurable, it does not exceed half a kalpa, because the Vibhāṣā states: 'Among the wholesome karmas of the desire realm, none can obtain a lifespan of one kalpa; only the unwholesome karmic fruits of the Avīci hell and of the dragon kings who uphold the earth endure for one kalpa.'
