第六、釋本文者，此論唯有正宗，無初、後分。就文大判，總有五分：初五十卷名本地分，略廣分別十七地義；次三十卷名攝決擇分，略攝決擇十七地中深隱要義；次二卷名攝釋分，略攝解諸經儀則；次二卷名攝異門分，略攝經中所有諸法名義差別；後十六卷名攝事分，略攝三藏眾要事義。

Sixth, in explaining the main text: This treatise contains only the main body, without opening or closing sections. Dividing the text broadly, there are five divisions in total: the first fifty fascicles are named Maulī Bhūmiḥ (Basic Stage), distinguishing in brief and at length the meanings of the seventeen stages; the next thirty fascicles are named Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī (Compendium of Determinations), summarily gathering and determining the profound, hidden, and essential meanings within the seventeen stages; the next two fascicles are named Vyākhyānasaṃgrahaṇī (Compendium of Expositions), summarily gathering and explaining the models and rules of the various sūtras; the next two fascicles are named Paryāyasaṃgrahaṇī (Compendium of Synonyms), summarily gathering the distinctions of names and meanings of all dharmas in the sūtras; the final sixteen fascicles are named Vastusaṃgrahaṇī (Compendium of Topics), summarily gathering the essential topics and meanings of the Tripiṭaka.
