四、明遮難，如經說：比丘不得共七逆人現身受戒。七逆者，出佛身血，殺父母，殺阿闍梨，破羯磨，轉法輪僧，殺聖人，若具七遮即身不得戒，餘一切人得受戒。

Fourth, explaining the disqualifications and obstacles: as the sūtra states, a monk must not receive the precepts in this life together with a person who has committed the seven heinous acts. The seven heinous acts are: shedding the Buddha's blood, killing one's father or mother, killing one's ācārya, disrupting a saṃgha karman, disrupting the Saṃgha that turns the wheel of Dharma, and killing a noble person. If one possesses these seven disqualifications, one cannot receive the precepts in this life; all other people may receive the precepts.
