10.357

言非非所犯者，簡非瞋所起。下明犯之輕重，如攝事分應當了知者，舊論中，錯云：如四攝品應當了知。遠師云：四攝品中，無此義，不知為指何經四攝耶？彼不知此論，別有攝事分第九十九卷說。上明依戒修學。

The phrase 'not that which is not violated' excludes what is not arisen from anger. Below, clarifying the gravity of offenses: Regarding 'as should be known in the Vastusaṃgrahaṇī': in the old treatise, it mistakenly says, 'as should be known in the Chapter on the Four Means of Embracing'. Master Yuan says: In the Chapter on the Four Means of Embracing, there is no such meaning; we do not know to which sūtra's four means of embracing it refers. He did not know that in this treatise, there is separately the Vastusaṃgrahaṇī, spoken of in the ninety-ninth fascicle. The above clarifies training in accordance with morality.
