Among the six, Ce says: Although there are six names, they are subsumed under three pairs. First, uninterrupted cultivation and earnest cultivation form one pair; next, the two of past cause and present manifestation form one pair; the latter two of one's own domain and superior progression form one pair. Under "unshakable" there are two, and below it analyzes being unshakable: first, because it is not shaken by the manifold sufferings of the present, it is called unshakable; second, because the vīrya cultivated by the bodhisattva does not shift into the gotra-portion of the other two vehicles or the three realms of existence, it is unshakable. Ji says: The reason it is said that the six, such as "having power" and "having diligence," belong to the preceding six kinds is that the other four, such as "having firmness" and "having vigor," possess six kinds.
